How We Make Money

How We Make Money

This is a question that should be asked of any business, and one we’re happy to answer. Our readers, affectionately known as “Global Entrepreneur”, are our top priority. They are why we spend countless hours and take great care in putting forth the best in international trade education, research, and product reviews. Being transparent, in every aspect of our operations, is one of our core principles. If we’re not adding value to our readers’ lives, we’re not doing our job.

How Does Export Port Make Money?

Easy, we partner with advertisers and companies that share the common vision of helping you achieve your global entrepreneurial success. These partners may include softwares, apps, or other companies that conduct work in the international trade sector.

When you read our content and click on one of our partners’ links, and then decide to complete an offer — be it a purchase, opening an account, or any number of other triggering actions — we may earn a small commission from that advertiser, at no extra cost to you. In fact, in some instances, you may unlock an exclusive promotion merely because of our partners’ wishes to do business with Export Port readers.

Our ultimate goal is to inform and protect, not lure you into purchasing products.

Can I Trust Export Port Reviews?

We are glad you asked. It is common sense to wonder if our reviews and content are biased or intended to influence you, especially if the brand we are reviewing is a international trade partner of ours. You are correct to assume that although some of the companies and products we review provide a means for us to make money, that does not interfere with our editorial integrity and research.

Although we may write reviews about certain products because of the partnerships we have with those respective brands and companies, we do not allow third-party compensation to affect our due diligence and editorial integrity. If we review a product, regardless if we are compensated for our work, and genuinely do not find the product to be in the best interest of our readers, we will be sure to let our review reflect those findings. Advocating for something that would steer our readers away from financial stability goes against our core fundamental values. It’s just not in our DNA.

For example, where we review what we feel are the best marketing apps, we advise our readers to assess if they have a household budget in place, or a plan to pay off debt, before engaging in more speculative financial activity. This is the core of who we are and how we want to serve our readers.

We believe that our work speaks for itself. For years, we have spent countless hours researching products, apps, and companies who never even knew we existed. Why? Because we started Export Port with the intentions of putting our readers first, and that will never change.
